Mary T. (Perez) Maietta, 91 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday November 21, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Taylor Springs, IL, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Paula Perez.

Mary came to Niagara Falls, NY as child with her family. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was employed at the former Jenss Department Store and Kimberly Clark Co. both located in Niagara Falls, NY until she married Frank C. Maietta on June 22, 1946 in the former Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Maietta predeceased her on January 10, 2006. She loved cooking, and in her leisure time enjoyed crafts and playing cards. Mary's life revolved around her love and devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Maietta is survived by her two sons, Carmen (Eileen) Maietta of East Brunswick, NJ, and Raymond Maietta (Ret. NFPD) of Lewiston, NY, three grandsons, David Maietta, Bryan (fiancé Carly DeGeorge) Maietta and Joel Maietta, one sister, Anita (late Joseph) Carreno of Wheatfield, NY, her dear friend Sharon DeLuke as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Nicholas Perez and Celo Perez, and four sisters, Josephine (late Rocco) Perez-Marra, Margaret Perez, Pauline (late M. Thomas) Embury and Lucy Perez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday November 24th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church 1055 N. Military Road Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay OSFS officiating. Entombment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094.
