Mary (Ruggiero) Manzi, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday April 9, 2009 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Donato and Olimpia (Cotugno) Ruggiero.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On November 16, 1933 she married James T. Manzi in Niagara Falls. Mr. Manzi predeceased her on May 4, 2002. Mary was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church as well as their Carmelites, Altar and Rosary Society, and Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Seniors Clubs of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Our Lady of the Rosary churches. She enjoyed cooking and canning her own fruits and in her leisure time, Mary liked to read.

Mary is survived by three sons Thomas J. (late Clare) Manzi, Sr. James M. (Judy) Manzi, Sr. both of Niagara Falls, NY and Gerald (Rozanne) Manzi of the Town of Niagara NY; ten grandchildren Thomas J. Manzi, Jr., Karen Stretch, Michael J. (Marlene) Manzi, Lisa (Martin)Gustafson, Manzi, James M. (Sandra) Manzi II, Gerald Manzi, Jr., Mary Jo (Jeff) Stricker, Dena Manzi, Melanie (Robert) Pilato and Lori Bradley, ten great grandchildren Michael, Steven, Erick, Marissa, Samantha, Mariah, Sydney, Morgan, Madison and Gracie and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Salvatore Ruggiero.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will be held on Saturday April 11th at 11:15 a.m. followed by a Rite of Christian Burial at 12 noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, OSFS officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Schoellkopf Health Center, 621 10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
