Mary Ellen McMahon, 81 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday May 14, 2017 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.  Born in Kilrush, Ireland, she was raised as the daughter of the late Michael and Nora Gallagher. Mary worked as a court clerk for the New York State Supreme Court in Niagara Falls for thirty-eight years until her retirement.

Mary Ellen is survived her loving companion, Chuck Colavecchia, her two daughters, Cathlene M. (John) Dorsogna and Maureen E. (Dr. Frank D.) Massaro, four grandchildren, Amanda Dorsogna, Marley Dorsogna, Ava Massaro and Adrianna Massaro, four sisters, Doreen (late Jerry) O'Connor, Mary (James) Glynn, Sister Margaret Gallagher, Patricia (John) Kinner, one brother, Michael (Sandy) Gallagher as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was also predeceased by one brother and one sister in Ireland.

There will be no prior visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 20 ^th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 4 ^th Street Niagara Falls, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence 5285 Lewiston Road Lewiston, NY 14092.
