Mary C. Mussari, 89, of Lockport, NY and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Newfane Rehabilitation Center. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Anne (Piccarello) Amato.

Mary graduated from St. Bernard's High School in Detroit and later moved to Niagara Falls in the early 1950s. She was employed as a secretary in the maintenance department of Mount St. Mary's Hospital for many years prior to her retirement in the early 1990s. Mary was devoted to her family and was an excellent cook and baker. She also had a loving heart and was there for anyone at their time of need.

Mrs. Mussari is survived by her children, Louis R. (Marilyn) Mussari and Debra (Edward) Jarka; three grandchildren, Matthew Mussari, Samantha (Paul Curtis) Mussari, Courtney Jarka, and her great-grandchildren, Ella and Brennan Curtis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Mary Angeline "Angie" Paoluzzi, George Amato, John (late Marfisa) Amato, Vincent Amato and Joseph Cufari.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 8 ^th from 3 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:15 A.M., followed by Mary's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
