Mary (Oliverio) Napolitano, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her residence. Mary was the daughter of the late Alberto and Marie (LaBernado) Oliverio. She was born in the United States but returned to Italy at the age of two. With the help of her grandmother and aunts, Mary had the opportunity to return to the United States when she was sixteen years old. Here, she lived with her grandmother and aunts. She met and married her husband Sam Napolitano when she was eighteen. They resided on 56th street for many years. They were married for 56 years until her husband predeceased her in 1995.

Mary loved her family and dedicated her life to them. She enjoyed cooking authentic Italian meals and having large family gatherings at her home. She passed on many of her cooking secrets to her daughters and granddaughters. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in caring for her home. She learned how to drive in her sixties and loved attending activities with her senior citizen group.

Mary is survived by her three children, Mary (Jerry) Parenti of Lewiston, NY; Marco (Gail) Napolitano of Niagara Falls, NY and Lena (Ronald) Jones of Wheatfield, NY; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters in Italy, and a large extended family that meant the world to her.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where, funeral services will begin Tuesday, December 17th at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at ST. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Houghson officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY
