Mary M. "Peggy" Butera, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 27, 2021 at her residence.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jean (Zralka) Costo.

In 1966, Peggy married Valentino L. Butera in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Butera predeceased her on February 18, 1995.  She worked side by side with her husband at Valentino L. Butera, CPA, serving as a co-owner and bookkeeper, for over 20 years.  Peggy will be remembered as an extremely hard worker, constantly cleaning, cooking, and helping her family with whatever they needed.  Above all, she cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Butera is survived by her sons, Gregory J. (Valerie) Butera and Christopher M. (Courtney) Butera; her grandchildren, Arianna Butera, Gabriella Butera, Noah Butera, and Helena Butera, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard (Norma) Costo and John (Lois) Costo.
