Mary (Veronie) Pennesi 94 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Monday November 22, 2010 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing care facility, Lewiston, NY. Born in Penn, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Caroline (Pagnanelli) Veronie.

Mary was raised and educated in Pennsylvania. She married her husband Peter Pennesi in 1934. Following their marriage they moved to the Niagara Falls area. Mr.Pennesi predeceased her in 1985.

Mary worked in the meat department for A&P and Super Duper, both of Niagara Falls, NY. She retired at the age 78. During her spare time she enjoyed baking and sewing and spending time with her grand children.

She is survived by her son Ronald A. (late Mary Ann) Pennesi of NF, NY. She was predeceased by her son Anthony (Carol of Niagara Falls, NY) Pennesi. Survivors also include five grand children; Peter (Theresa) Pennesi, Nancy Pennesi, Meribeth (Tim) Morton, Victoria (Leon) Lascelle and Richard (Anna) Pennesi; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers Anthony Veronie and Louis (Mary) Veronie both of PA; two sisters Carmela (Arthur) Rinaldi and Concetta (late Carl) Malik both of PA. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and son, she was predeceased by five brothers and one sister Henry (late Julia) Veronie, Samuel (late Marie) Veronie, John (late Lillian) Veronie, Alfonse (late Lena) Veronie, Joseph (late Josephine) and Helen (late Salvatore)

Visitation will begin NEXT WEEK on Thursday December 2 from 4 to 8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday December 3rd at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish in St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave Niagara Falls, NY with Rev Stewart Lindsay OSFS officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude place Memphis, TN 38105.
