Mary 'Mare' J. (Dimino) Punturo, 88, died on Thursday February 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Vincenza (Morreale) Dimino.

Mary graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in 1942 and thoroughly enjoyed all of her jobs including, Jenns department store, City of Niagara Falls, and was most proud of her job at Bell Aerospace, from where she retired. Mary was affectionately called the "Matriarch" of the family and was so loved by everyone. She brought laughter to wherever she went.

Mrs. Punturo is survived by her devoted and loving daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Anthony DeMunda of Lewiston, NY; her adored granddaughter Danielle (Paul) Kudela, her former husband Albert Punturo and her dedicated nieces and nephews, Richard, Joanne, John, Donna, Joseph, Jeanne Marie and Rosanne as well as many great and great-great nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her siblings, Jessie (late Arthur) Aleandro, John (late Josephine) Dimino, Joseph (late Jessie) Dimino, Lillian (late Joseph) D'Ambrosio and two grandsons Daniel and Andrew DeMunda.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday February 6th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research, 331 Alberta Drive, Amherst, NY 14226.
