Mary Ross, 93, of Pendleton, NY, passed away peacefully at her residence under the care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice on October 8, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Ortenzia (Bellucci) Manarino.
Mary was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and married the love of her life, Armand J. "Mondo" Ross, on June 6, 1952. Mr. Ross predeceased her on February 5, 1991 after 38 years of marriage.
She was employed for over 30 years as an administrative assistant for the Kenmore Tonawanda Public Library. Mary was a proud member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting the casino, and had a sharp business mind with a keen acumen for the stock market. Known for her good nature, kindness, and tenacity, Mary never spoke ill of anyone and cherished every moment spent with her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Lynn (Sam) Pinto, Mary Ann (Timothy) Hitzges, David (Terri) Ross, and Lori (Paul) Moskaluk; grandchildren, Matthew, Katelyn, Michael, Nicholas, Julie (Taylor), Christina (Dalton), Mitchell, Jenna, Steven (Mady) and Armand; great-grandchildren, Lennon, Enzo, Archer, Gia, Sophia, and Aria; her sister, Nancy (late Bill) Harbert; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her devoted caregivers, Ruth Toarmino and Diane Marotta.
In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Alex (late Rita) Manarino, Frank (late Gene) Manarino, Joseph Manarino, and John (late Gertrude) Manarino.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301, where Mary's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, www.niagarahospice.org/donations. Arrangements by M.J.
