Mary Ann Rubino, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born on March 1, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of late Ponziano and Micheline (Montanari) Rubino.
Mary Ann retired from Occidental Chemical Corporation in 1998, after over forty years of service as a Purchasing Agent. A graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Mary Ann was loved and admired by her teachers, colleagues, family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
In her spare time, Mary Ann loved being with her family, reading, playing cards and meeting with her high school club friends for lunch. She was a long time volunteer for Heart and Soul, where she was dedicated to the needy.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving sister, Christine (James) Rubino-Farino of Niagara Falls, NY. Her beloved nieces Donna (Terry) Pierce, Danielle (Thomas) Buczek, Elizabeth (Aaron) Stom, Gabrielle Rubino, Dominique Rubino, Micheline (Chris) Murgia and beloved nephews Michael (Lynne) Ficorilli and John Rubino, Jr. She especially adored her great nephews Jozef and Aleksander Buczek. Mary Ann was also survived by many great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Frances Ficorilli, and brother, John Rubino.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial service, Wednesday, July 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Niagara County S.P.C.A. 2100 Lockport Rd. Niagara Falls, NY 14304-1156.
