Mary R. (Mazzei) Valore, 87, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday December 21, 2009 at Fairchild Manor Nursing Home in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Victoria (Prate) Mazzei.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On April 12, 1947 she married Angelo P. Valore at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Valore predeceased her on November 1, 1995. Mary was employed at the Carborundum Company and later as a bookkeeper at the former Y.W.C.A. both in Niagara Falls. She also worked in her residence as a seamstress. Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. But her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Mrs. Valore is survived by one daughter Nicolina 'Nikki' M. Valore of Niagara Falls, NY; one granddaughter Caitlin C. Lynas, her nephew Phillip Valore of Grand Island, NY and great nephew Phillip Valore; nephew Phillip Marra and great nephew Carmen Marra; nieces Marie Grabowski, Kris Coughlin, Tori Stepanov; her sister-in-law Valentina (late Joseph) Valore of Grand Island, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters Lena Sparacio, Rosa Mazzei and three brothers Peter Mazzei, Joseph Mazzei, Angelo Mazzei.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468 19TH STREET, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Wednesday December 23rd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church.
