Matthew Bronson, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late James and Mary Bronson, and the beloved husband of Mary Summers, whom he married on September 12, 2009.
Matt was raised in Cambria, NY, and graduated from Starpoint High School. He honorably served in the United States Army for eight years until his discharge. From a young age, he worked alongside his father in the family construction business and later continued his career with William C. Rott & Son. Most recently, he was employed with MJ Peterson as their Maintenance and Construction Manager.
Matt enjoyed the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and camping were among his favorite pastimes. He also loved playing competitive volleyball with his wife and friends. A devoted animal lover with a deep commitment to family, Matt cherished every moment spent with those he loved.
In addition to his wife, Mary, Matt is survived by their children, Tristan Bronson, Cody (Stephanie) Bronson, Breanna Bronson, Cory (Alexa) Summers, Alyssa Summers and RaeAnne Summers; grandchildren, Malikye, Ayva, Onyx, Kaylin, Ariyah, CJ, Nicco, Adriyonna, Evan, Tyler, Jackson and Jeffrey Jr.; his sisters, Amy (Darren) Clark and Beth (Shane) Glassing; his nieces, Jenna Clark, Jamie Clark, Gavin Glassing and Belle Glassing; his great-niece, Trinity and his sister-in-law, Diane Smith, as well as many beloved friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 28 from 2 – 4 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, concluding with prayers at 4:00 PM. Funeral services with Military honors will be held at Mt. View Cemetery in Sanborn, NY at a later date to be announced. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
