Maud E. (Dodman) Gentile, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday May 26, 2009 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Attleborough, England she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Dodman.

Maud was educated and served in the Royal Air Force in England. On February 3, 1945 she married Samuel A. Gentile in England and shortly after they came to Niagara Falls where she lived until the present time. Maud worked as a waitress at Mom's Restaurant and Michael's Restaurant, both in Niagara Falls, NY. One of her favorite pastimes was going to Bingo.

In addition to her husband of sixty four years, Mrs. Gentile is survived by four children Carol-Ann (Richard) Pawlak, Carmella Gentile, Sammy Gentile and Josephine Mylar all of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren Gary Hardy II, Gina Chiappone (Randy) Tagliarini, Ann-Margret Lundy (late Kim) Bradley, Rocco Lundy, Carol-Ann (Anthony) DiBesco and Christy Mylar (Donald) Smith, nineteen great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Carmela (late Frank) Catanese of Lewiston, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon – 1:30 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where a memorial service will be conducted at 1:30pm. Interment will be held privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
