Maureen J. 'Mia' Dunlap, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 3, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born in Brantford, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mabel (Mt. Pleasant) Powless.

Maureen came to the area with her family when she was 5 years old.  She graduated in 1962 from Trott Vocational High School for practical nursing.  She owned and operated her own janitorial service, Mia's Maid Service, and most recently was employed in Office Management at R&R Janitorial Services in Niagara Falls, NY for 17 years.

Mia was a member of the Singles Ministry and Bible Study at the Church on the Rock in the late 1980's and early 1990's.  She was also the Vice President of the 99th Street School Parent Teacher Association while her children were growing up.  Mia enjoyed to crochet and read.

Maureen is survived by her children, Duane K. (Sue) Dunlap, Lesley R. (Henry) LoStracco, and Gerald K. 'Sonny' Dunlap; her grandchildren, Danielle Dunlap, Derek Dunlap, Brittany Dunlap, Carly Dunlap, Jason (Alex) Lowe, Amanda Baker, Joshua Baker, and Preston Haas; her great grandchildren, Patrick, Alexander, and Nicholas; her siblings, Randall Powless and Janet (late Norm) Lang, her former husband, Gerald K. Dunlap, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Alice Ann (late Richard) Neziol, Eileen (Delbert) Hines, and Robert (Miriam) Westbrook.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6 from 10 – 11:30 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM.  Inurnment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org or www.alivingtribute.com to plant a memorial tree in Maureen's honor.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
