McKenzie Munt, 18, of Sanborn, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Erie County Medical Center.  Born in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of Shantell R. Williams (William Haviland) and Shawn M. Munt.

McKenzie was a member of the Onondaga Eel Clan.  She graduated from Harriet Tubman Resident Center in Auburn, NY.  McKenzie enjoyed doing hair and makeup for herself and others.  She loved crocheting, journaling and writing poetry.  McKenzie had an infectious laugh and energetic personality.  She was a bright light to be around.

In addition to her parents, McKenzie is survived by her siblings, Carlyle Fauzey, Ivy Fauzey and Mary Fauzey, grandparents, Hubert (late Lilli) Swanson, her uncle, Kurt (Samantha) Williams, her aunt, Kourtney Busenlehner, as well as several aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins.  She was the granddaughter of the late Kurt and Sheryl Williams.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7 from 12 – 1 PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission Church, 5035 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, where funeral services will begin at 1 PM.  Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In memory of McKenzie her organs were donated to Connect Life giving the chance of others to live through her generosity.  Arrangements made by M.J.
