Melinda C. (Rosso) Baio, 55, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Emma (Norton) Rosso of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Felix Rosso.

Melinda graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1976 and later earned an Associate's Degree at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY. She currently worked in the Coding Department at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY after retiring from the Health Information Management Transcription Department there. Prior to that, she was employed as a secretary at Niagara Orthopedics Office in Niagara Falls, NY. On October 17, 1998 she married her loving husband, Michael Baio, Sr. in Youngstown, NY.

Melinda had a passion for extreme couponing. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and vacationing with her family, particularly to her favorite vacation location Aruba. She also enjoyed traveling to various "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" locations. Melinda loved spending time with her friends and cooking meals for them. One of Melinda's greatest joys was watching her son, Marc, play hockey, baseball and umpire games.

In addition to her husband, Melinda is survived by seven children Marc DeGregorio of Lewiston, NY; Jen (Jerry) Gibas of Sanborn, NY; Melissa (Chris) Rugg of Tonawanda, NY; Nick (Ashley) DeGregorio of Ontario, Michael (Kelly) Baio, Jr. of Youngstown, Stacey (Greg) Montanari of South Carolina and Nicholas Baio of San Diego, CA; ten grandchildren Dakota and Zach Gibas, Katelyn and Brittany Mang; Allyson, Meghan and Michael Baio; Gianna Montanari, Sophia and Holden Rugg; one brother Andre (Cheryl) Rosso of Lewiston, NY; three nieces Stephanie, Brittany and Alyssa Rosso; her best friend Sandy Edgington and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant brother Matthew Rosso.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY 14174 with Msgr. J. Thomas Moran officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown, NY. Donations in Melinda's memory may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
