Meriam Leone, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2021, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Lock Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Eliza (Schrack) Soo.

Meriam was raised in Lockhaven and moved to Niagara Falls with her family in 1967. She was employed for many years at Metal Cladding in North Tonawanda, NY and Lockport, NY until her retirement. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter Willow.

Mrs. Leone is survived by three children, Peggy Leone, Nancy (Melvin) (nee Leone) Spillman, David (Linda) Leone, and was predeceased by one son, James P. Leone, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony Spillman, Sam Irish, Amanda (Brian) Monahan, Lynn Leone, Michelle Pawlukovich and Shelby Leone; many great-grandchildren; her siblings, Helen (Charlie) Colucci, Dorothy (Richard) Vonada and Pearl Lamey, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her son, she was predeceased by her siblings, Marie Yahn, Richard Soo, William Soo and James Soo.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 21 from 2 – 4 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
