Michael J. 'Fritz' Crogan, 72, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on November 27, 2024 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph L. Crogan, Sr. and Kathleen 'Kay' (Cannello) (late Michael) Crogan-Romano.

Fritz was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School, where he played basketball, football, and baseball, and was actively scouted by the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals.  He later attended Niagara County Community College.  In 1975, he married Denise M. (Conaway) Crogan.  They later reunited and remarried in 2002.

Fritz was employed as a bartender at his family bar, Cousin's Lounge, before moving to Florida, where he worked in the same capacity in various bars and restaurants, most notably the Fountainblu in Miami, FL.  He later worked as a Car Salesman for Phillips Automotive in Leesburg, FL for 15 years.  Upon his return to the area, he worked at the Steelhead, the Stone Jug, and Youngstown Yacht Club, amassing 30 years in the service industry.

Fritz was an avid golfer, and loved watching the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.  He will be remembered as a wonderful person that always greeted everyone with a smile.  A pure soul that never had an enemy, Fritz was able to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

In addition to his wife of 23 years, Denise, Michael is survived by his siblings, Joseph L. (Tammy) Crogan and Richard 'Rick' (Michael Murphy) Crogan; his sisters-in-law, Sherry (James Woldridge) Conaway and Nancy (late Lawrence) Conaway, his and Denises' dear friend, Margaret (James) Wise, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
