Michael J. DiFranco, Jr., 96, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on July 19, 2026. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Michael Sr. and Betty (DiBenedetto) DiFranco, and the beloved husband of the late Theresa (Porebski) DiFranco.

Mike proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1954. After his service, he worked alongside his father and brothers in the family business, DiFranco Plastering Co., where he remained until his retirement. He was a longtime and dedicated member of the Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons International Association #137 and the Painters District Council #4, taking great pride in the craftsmanship and camaraderie of his trade.

Mike was an avid bowler who cherished the friendships and routines that came with the sport. He also took tremendous pride in living independently and managing his own housework, tending to his yard, and maintaining the rhythms of daily life well into his nineties.

In addition to his wife and parents, Michael was predeceased by his daughter Ann Marie DiFranco and two brothers, Jack DiFranco and Anthony (late Mary) DiFranco. He is survived by his loving family.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 23, from 3–7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Friday, July 24, at 10 AM.
