Michael A. Jamarco, Ret. Capt., NFFD, 79, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 31, 2021 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Joan S. (D'Angelis) Jamarco.

Mike attended local schools, graduating from Trott Vocational High School, and earning an Associate's Degree from NCCC as a Draftsman.  He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1964.  On June 22, 1985, he married Mary E. (Importune) Jamarco.  Mike was a Captain with the Niagara Falls Fire Department, retiring in 2003 after 33 years of service.  He was a muscle car and car show enthusiast, and enjoyed drag racing in his younger years.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, Michael is survived by his children, Marlayna Jamarco, Michael Jamarco, Jr., Jennifer Jamarco, Janelle (Brian) Zemlanicky, and Michelle Jamarco; his grandchildren, Hailey Cooke, Cailyn Cooke, Ava Zemlanicky, Jake Zemlanicky, and Gregory Post; his siblings, Judith Lauron and Geoffrey Giammarco, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.  Michael's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27 ^th and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, concluding with Military Honors.   Everyone please assemble at church.
