Michael P. Petrishin, 59, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully in his home on February 12, 2026. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the beloved son of Dawn (William) (nee Wahler) Walsh and Michael (Lori) Petrishin. Mike was a proud graduate of LaSalle Senior High School Class of 1984. 

Throughout his life, he worked in several roles that reflected his strong work ethic and love of serving others, including positions at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, Sammy’s Pizzeria, and Niagara University, where he worked as a chef until health challenges led to his early retirement. 

Mike enjoyed watching football, and was a loyal fan to the Las Vegas/Oakland Raiders. He had an extensive DVD collection, especially westerns and superhero movies, that he loved to share with his family. His favorite superheroes were Batman, Spider Man, and The Punisher. He had a passion for music, especially AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses. Above all, Mike cherished time spent with his family, finding comfort and happiness in the moments they shared. 

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his progeny, Barb (Sal Greco) Petrishin, who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother, Shawn Petrishin; step-siblings, John (Cheryl) Taggart and Jamie Stockton; his nephew, Shawn Petrishin Jr., as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Visitation will be on Friday, February 27 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Michael’s Funeral Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 AM. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
