Michael R. Priester, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, January 12, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late James O. and Elizabeth (Hollingsheaet) Priester; and loving husband of Kathy (Piaskowski) Priester, who he married September 9, 1972 at St. John de LaSalle Church.

Mike attended local schools including the former LaSalle High School. He enlisted with the United States Navy in 1967 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm until his honorable discharge after 24 years of dedicated service. Upon his discharge, Mike was employed as a truck driver locally for many years prior to retiring in 2011.

Mike was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a passionate lover of classic music from the 1950s and 1960s. He also enjoyed collecting model trains and belonged to a model railroad club locally. Mike loved spending time with his 61st Street Neighborhood Club, "the 61st Street gang," monthly for breakfast. Above all, Mike cherished the time spent with his beloved family.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, Mike is survived by his siblings, Thomas (Marie) Priester, Debra A. Mauro, Susan C. Priester, Amy (John) Linkowski; his sister-in-law, Debora (late Michael Sr.) Fratello and Michael (Laurie) Piaskowski, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three siblings, Richard A. (Debbie) Priester, James Priester and Marion (James) Woods.
