Michael Rotella, 64, of Severn, Maryland and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Maryland. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Anthony Rotella, Esq. of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Catherine (Feigenbaum) Rotella.

Michael graduated from Niagara Falls High School with honors in 1969. In 1973, he received a double Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Boston University. Michael was employed as a tech consultant at Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq Computer Company, as well as Hewlett-Packard- all located in Maryland- until his retirement. He was a former member of the American-Italian Century Club in Niagara Falls, NY. Michael was also an avid chess player and former member of the chess club at Boston University. In Michael's leisure time, he enjoyed boating and fishing, as well as watching wrestling and soccer.

In addition to his father, Michael is survived by one daughter Angelina "Gina" (William Fuller) Rotella of Alexandria, Virginia; two brothers Anthony Arno (Nancy) Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY and Robert Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY; and two nieces Christine and Sarah Rotella.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 11 - 12 Noon at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will follow at 12 Noon. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
