Michael J. Schreiner, 49, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Thursday November 29, 2012 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of Jim and Donna (Harris) Schreiner of West Seneca, NY.

Michael graduated from West Seneca West High School and later attended Erie County Community College where he earned an Associate's Degree in Business Management. He came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1989 and on February 14, 1990 he married Tammy E. (Shelly) Schreiner. Michael was employed by Denny's Restaurant Corporation as their general manager for restaurants in the Buffalo and Niagara Falls area for twenty years. Following that he became the senior shift manager of the Thunder Falls Buffet at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY since its opening ten years ago. Michael was a member of the Y.M.C.A. in Niagara Falls, NY and was a diehard Miami Dolphins fan. He was a happy go lucky person with a very positive attitude and was one of the most loving and understanding people you could know. Michael loved all people but most important to him was his family and spending time with them.

In addition to his wife of twenty two years, Michael is survived by three children Matthew Schreiner, Jonathan Schreiner and Barbie Schreiner, four brothers and one sister Jim (Katie) Schreiner, Marc (Mary Pat) Schreiner both of Hamburg, NY; Keith (Sherrie) Schreiner of Lancaster, NY; Laura (Glen) Winkowski of Cheektowaga, NY and Scott (Robin) Schreiner of Orchard Park, NY; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the son-in-law of Barbara (late Phillip) Bellanca of Niagara Falls, NY and brother-in-law of Kathy (Bob) Trané of Niagara Falls, NY; Jerry (Jeanie) Shelly of Philadelphia, PA and Timmy Shelly of Knoxville, TN.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday December 3rd at 12 noon at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
