Michelangelo 'Mike' Alaimo of Niagara Falls, NY, 91, passed away on November 29, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late John and Angela (Cirrito) Alaimo.

Mike attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1940. He served in the United States Navy in the European Theater during World War II until his honorable discharge. He later attended Arizona State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. On April 19, 1958 he married his loving wife, Antoinette M. (Vitello) Alaimo at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mike was employed as an accountant at Union Carbide (Linde) in Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, Mr. Alaimo is survived by his two children, Michael Alaimo of Amherst, NY, Deborah A. Alaimo of Lewiston, NY; his brother, Charles (Marilyn) Alaimo of Grand Island, NY as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers, James (late Marge) Alaimo, Joseph Alaimo; his sisters, Mary (late Domonick) Rosetti and Lena Alaimo.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1st from 4 – 7:00 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2nd at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment with will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY.
