Michelle Doherty, 54, of Tonawanda, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Hospice Buffalo after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leo Wagner and Cheryl (Quaglia) (late Edward) Holthouser.

Michelle was raised in Niagara Falls where she graduated from Niagara Catholic in 1988. She received her Associate's degree from Erie Community College in Health Information Technology and earned her Registered Health Information Technician license.

Michelle held over 25 years of experience in Health Information Management throughout Eastern Niagara Hospital, Kaleida Health and Inter Community Memorial Hospital. Most recently she served as the Medical Records Administrator of Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Michelle was an avid hockey and football fan and loved the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. She also enjoyed tending to her gardens. Above all, Michelle devoted her life to her family who will miss her immensely.

In addition to her mom, Michelle is survived by her son, Beckett Doherty; her longtime significant other, Russel Roberto; her brother Bob (Maria) Wagner; her bonus children, Alex Roberto and Ceili Brooks; one granddaughter, Sayge Roberto; her nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Robert, Rocky, Mason and Matthew Wagner, as well as her cherished dog, Tobi; cat, Arthas; and many loving friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM. Memorial offerings in Michelle's name may be made to Roswell Park at www.roswellpark.org/.
