Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Nancy Morreale, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Termini Imerese, Palermo, Sicily, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Giuseppa "Josephine" (Graziano) Aguglia.
On December 9, 1953, Nancy married Joseph C. "Pino" Morreale in Italy. Together they traveled with their infant daughter, Francine, on the Andrea Doria to New York City and settled in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Morreale predeceased her on November 6, 2013. Nancy was employed at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital for over 16 years until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Nancy loved her family and dedicated her life to them. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. Nancy was an accomplished seamstress and also enjoyed listening to Andrea Bocelli.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Francine M. Young of Tonawanda, NY, Vincent "Jim" L. (Diane J.) Morreale of North Canton, OH, Robert L. (Christine) Morreale of Wheatfield, NY; her loving grandchildren, Christina, Brian, Anthony (Michelle), Matthew, Shawn, Nicholas, Nicole, Alexa and Doug; two great granddaughters, Serenity and Vanessa; and one brother, Angelo (late Mary) Aguglia of Niagara Falls, NY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was predeceased by nine siblings, John, Concetta, Rose, Salvatore, Anne, Maria, Totto, Mimi and Pino Aguglia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9th from 9 – 10 A.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S., officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
