Nellie D'Amico, 99, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Friday May 1, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV. Born in Niagara Falls she was the daughter of the late Natale and Ermellina (Barsocchi) Venturelli. She was predeceased by her husband Frank D'Amico in 1981.

Nellie attended local schools and worked at Hooker Chemical Company in Niagara Falls, NY for twenty three years. She was also a foster grandmother for unwed mothers in Niagara Falls. For the past eighteen years, she resided in Las Vegas, NV. Nellie loved watching the Wheel of Fortune game show on TV. She also enjoyed knitting but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends.

Nellie was predeceased by one son Roy Finitz, one daughter Norma (John of Cabot, AR) Fiore and one step daughter Anmarie (D'Amico) Stack. She is survived by nine grandchildren Chris (Judy) Finitz, Jeff (Sarah) Finitz, Toni Marie (Gregory) Barrett, Tani (Anthony) Collura, Kenny Fiore, Dean (Stacie) Fiore, Robin S. Stack, Timothy B. Stack and Patrick F. (Cathi) Stack; nineteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, one sister Lena (late Nini) Martinucci of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by one brother and one sister.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday May 22nd at 12 noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. William C. Allegretto, C.M. officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dignified Care Manor, 2915 El Camino Road, Las Vegas NV 89146.
