Nicholas "Nick" C. Guarnieri, 61, of Wheatfield, NY, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Onofrio "Nolfe" and Eleanor (Brucato) Guarnieri.

Nick was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School in 1969. He later attended Niagara University where he earned a Bachelors Degree. On September 20, 1975 he married Claudia A. (Strachan) Guarnieri at St. Leo's Church in the Town of Niagara. Nick owned and operated A-Z Contracting in Niagara Falls, NY. He was also employed as the maintenance manager at Opportunities Unlimited also in Niagara Falls. Nick's essence of life was his family and he especially enjoyed spending time with both family and friends.

In addition to his wife of thirty seven years, Nick is survived by two children Nicholas H. (Lori) Guarnieri of Niagara Falls, NY and Jenelle R. Guarnieri of Wheatfield, NY; one grandson Brayden N. Guarnieri and one brother Joseph A. (Barbara) Guarnieri of Yardley, PA. He was the uncle of Stefanie Guarnieri, the son-in-law of Anne D. (late Hugh) Strachan of Wheatfield, NY; the nephew of the late Nicholas and Florence (Guarnieri) Sheldon and cousin of (Hon.) Sara Sheldon Farkas and children Whitney and Tyler; cousin of Susan (Lale) Lewis and son Brandon. He is also survived by his faithful dog, Jocko.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday June 1st at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent DePaul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
