Nicholas Pagano, 88 formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday September 16, 2013 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, CA. Born in Burlington, NJ he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosa (Olisa) Pagano.
Nicholas moved to the Niagara Falls area (in the 1950's). He served in the United States Army during World War II and was honorably discharged on March 16, 1946. On October 12, 1946, he married Jean D. (Pelosino) Pagano. Mrs. Pagano predeceased him on April 21, 2005.
For over twenty years, Nick was employed as a cost analyst for the former Airco Speer in Niagara Falls. Nick was an avid golfer and was well known at the Hyde Park Golf Course. His other passion was wood carving. His meticulous attention to carving detail earned him several honors at various carving shows.
Mr. Pagano is survived by his three children, Christine D. Pagano of Rescue, CA, Daniel A. Pagano of Lewiston, NY and US Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Michael L. Pagano of San Diego, CA, wife Kelly, three grandchildren, Samantha, Maxwell, and Harper. He is also survived by his step brother Tony Passerelli as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12 - 3:00 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Monday September 23rd at 11:15 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY with Military Honors.
