Norma T. Ruggiero, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Matteo and Concetta (Mongelluzo) Yorio.

On November 16, 1950, Norma married Salvatore R. Ruggiero in Erie County, PA. They shared 31 years of marriage before his passing on May 24, 1982.

Norma was employed with the International Paper Mill and later worked as a clerk in various local retail stores for more than 50 years, retiring at the remarkable age of 80. She was a proud member of the ISDA Lodge and the Cristoforo Colombo Women’s Auxiliary. In her leisure time, she enjoyed word search puzzles, watching old westerns, and sharing daily coffee with her nephew, Jim. Norma will be remembered most for her toughness, strength, and unwavering resiliency.

She is survived by her sisters, Rita (late William) Favero, Louise (late George) McMahon, and Mary (late John) Lozinsky; her dear nieces, Lisa (late William) Jones and Jackie Carbone; her nephew, Jim (Judy) Manzi, ; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Louis Yorio and Josephine (late Woodrow) Tweed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, from 10 AM to 12 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
