Obituary

After a brief illness, and under the care of Niagara Hospice, Norma Marie Viselli, 92, of North Tonawanda, NY and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, entered peacefully into rest while in the comfort of her own home, on Monday, September 7, 2020; surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Sirianni) Pascuzzi.

Norma was a longtime resident of Niagara Falls and a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On September 11, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Domenic Viselli at St. Joseph's Church. Mr. Viselli later predeceased her on October 21, 2002.

In the late 1950's, Norma began working as a bookkeeper at M & T Bank, and later was employed by Round the Clock Restaurant as a supervisor for 23 years, prior to retiring in 1978.

Norma was a Devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, where in her younger years, she was extremely involved in the Mother's Club, the Children of Mary Sodality, and the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Charter Guild of the Sacred Heart Villa and a past member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society Ladies Auxiliary. Norma had a lifelong devotion to St. Anne de Beaupre in Quebec, and was fortunate enough to share this faithfulness with her children and grandchildren, making this pilgrimage 20 times over the years.

Aside from her faith, Norma's life centered around her cherished family. And before her health made it too difficult, Norma loved to cook and bake, especially for her grandchildren, passing down many family traditions, always stressing to them the importance of carrying these traditions on.

Norma is survived by her loving daughters, Carol (George) Rideout and Teresa (Jim) Bove; four grandchildren, Christa (Norman) Marshall, Anthony Rideout, Matthew (Andrea) Bove and Francesca Bove; her great-grandson, George Elliott Marshall; thirteen godchildren, and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stella (late Frank) Calvello, Fred (late Mary) Pascuzzi, Carmen (late Ann) Pascuzzi and Anthony Pascuzzi.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 11 from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Norma's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Due to current circumstances, social distancing and masks are required. Memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family Parish.
