Obituary

Olivia Anita Virtuoso, 82, of Roswell, GA and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 7, 2025 of Lewy Body Dementia, under the compassionate care of David and Nicole Turnquist and Gentiva Hospice in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Born August 12, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late G. Thomas and Laura (Delorenzo) Virtuoso.

Olivia graduated from Niagara Catholic High School and worked at the former Hooker Chemical Company in Niagara Falls for several years. After earning her certification in court reporting, Olivia moved to Boston, MA for a brief time, where she began her distinguished career as a court reporter. She relocated to Georgia and continued her profession for more than four decades. A respected leader in her field, Olivia was among the first court reporters in the United States selected to travel to England to train High Court reporters during their transition from written shorthand to transcription machines, a testament to her expertise and dedication to the profession.

Her life was filled with her Georgia family of friends, reading, walking and hiking. She had a beautiful garden and was a volunteer helping to beautify her complex association area.

Olivia is survived by her siblings, Priscilla (late David) Turnquist and Thomas (Susan) Virtuoso; her nephews, David (Nicole) Turnquist, Thomas Virtuoso, and nieces, Claudine Pacioni, Kelly (Joseph) Maniaci; her great-nieces, Alexandria, Christine and Erica and great-nephews Zachary, and Jimmy and great-great niece Juliet. She is also survived by many cousins in the Virtuoso and Delorenzo families and maintained close connection with friends in the Niagara Falls area.
