Orlando E. 'Earl' Bruno, 88 of Hallandale, FL formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday August 28, 2009. Born in Clymer, PA he was the son of Carmella (Corsaro) Bruno, 105 of Pembroke Park, FL and late Anthony Bruno.

Earl came to the Niagara Falls area as a child with his family. He attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. During WWII, he served in the United States Army with the 34th Infantry, stationed in France from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1947. Earl married Lucy (Romano) Bruno on December 27, 1969 in Florida. Mrs. Bruno predeceased him on December 5, 2002. For forty years, Earl worked as a millwright at the former Oldbury Chemical Company in Niagara Falls until his retirement in 1980. In his leisure time, Mr. Bruno enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his loving mother, Mr. Bruno is survived by a sister Norma (late Arthur) Ryder of Hallandale, FL a step-son Dean A. (Mary Beth) Henderson of Columbus, OH, a step-grandson Matthew Henderson, nieces and nephews, Barbara Bruno, Rose Ann (Richard) Bell, Frank (Cheryl) Bruno, Paulette (late Tony) Bruno, Kathy (Thomas) Parnell, Karen (Joseph) Logan, Judy (Darrol) Monfils, Gene (Christy) Tanner and several cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother, Frank (Dorothy of Pembroke Park, FL) Bruno and two sisters, Emma (late Dominic) Buffamonte and Irene (late Eugene)Tanner.

Friends may call on Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Tuesday September 1st at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. John de LaSalle Church 8477 Buffalo Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY with Military Honors.
