IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paolina
Robazza
October 15, 2022
Paolina Robazza, 94, of Niagara Falls, New York, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Born in Introdacqua, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Panfilo and Francesca (D'Andrea) Volpe.
Paolina moved to the United States in 1952 and began working at DiCamillo Bakery in Niagara Falls, New York. On January 2, 1954, she married her beloved husband, Aldo Robazza in Niagara Falls, Ontario. They later established their home in Niagara Falls, New York.
She was employed at Fortuna's Restaurant as a lead cook often working several stoves at once on various Italian dishes. She later retired from the former Ivanhoe Inn working as a housekeeper. Paolina had a strong work ethic that began at the age of six when she would stand on a small chair to reach the kitchen table and stove to prepare meals for the whole family. She was guided by love in all that she did, was a fierce protector of her family and always stood firm in defense of the truth.
Paolina was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church and the Cristoforo Colombo Ladies Auxiliary. She was a master cook whose main ingredient in all her meals was "LOVE." Her favorite question was, "Did you eat?" She also enjoyed playing Bingo with cherished family and friends. Her children and their families were the light of her life as she was, and always will be, to them. Above all, Paolina will be remembered for her unconditional love and generosity.
Paolina is survived by her son and daughter, Robert (Margaret) Robazza and Janice (Brian) Robazza-Merrick; her grandchildren, Lauren (Jason) Zaepfel, Ryan (Sabrina) Robazza, Deanna (Matthew) Shaffer and Tina (Tony) Ross; eight great-grandchildren, Catherine Paolina, Lux, Fox, Reese, Quinn, Abigail, Lauren, and Nolan, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Aldo, as well as her siblings, Filomena (late Giuseppe) Volpe, Mario (late Bina) Volpe, Pasquale (late Gilda) Volpe, Elio "Leo" (late Esterina) Volpe and Oreste Volpe.
The family would like to thank cherished friends and neighbors Gloria and Vernon Sedore for their many years of loving support.
