Pasquale 'Patsy' L. Crugnale, 89, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Born in L'Aquila, Abruzzi, Italy he was the son of the late Dominic and Maria Giuseppina (Sciavo) Crugnale.

Pasquale served in the U.S. Navy from May 22, 1945 until his honorable discharge on July 18, 1946. He and his wife, Clara, owned and operated the LaHacienda Restaurant, a popular restaurant on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY. Prior to that he was employed at the former Shredded Wheat Co. Patsy was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society and the American Legion Post 1451. He was honored by the Pine Avenue Business Association as a recipient of the Cittadini Speciali Award. In his leisure time, Patsy enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends, especially at gatherings in his home.

Pasquale is survived by his wife, Clara (DiCenso) Crugnale, two daughters Lillian (Aldo) Evangelista, Patricia Crugnale and was predeceased by one daughter Maria Pia Zarr. He is also survived by four grandchildren Donato (Valeri) Evangelista, Dr. Pasquale Evangelista, Michael (Terri) Prokop and Andrew (Cara) Prokop; three great grandchildren Elise, Daniel and Avery Prokop and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one sister Mary (late Roger) Godwin and one brother Anthony Crugnale.

Visitation will be on Monday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 7th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY with Military Honors.
