Patricia M. (Moore) Abel, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY the daughter of the late Albert and Clara (Frederick) Moore.

Patricia attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1943. Patricia was employed as an accounting clerk at Occidental Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls for twenty nine years until retiring in 1989. She was also a volunteer worker at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY and for the local Red Cross. Pat was a member of the Business and Professional Women as well as a lifelong member of the former Sacred Heart parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and on several of their committees including the Bereavement Committee until she became ill. Pat was also a member of the Sacred Heart Seniors, the Golden Age Club and the Occidental Chemical Retirees Club all in Niagara Falls.

Patricia is survived by three children Daniel (Mary Ann) Abel, Francis Abel, Mary (Joseph) Heeney and was predeceased by one son Donald Abel. She is also survived by three grandchildren Christina (Ronnie Snipes) Gonzales, Theresa (John) Crowe and Lisa (Zach) Cary; four great grandchildren; one sister Anne (late Harold) DesPres and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one grandson Joseph Heeney, Jr. and nine siblings.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 14th at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Church, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
