Patricia A. Rankin, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 10, 2022 at Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Alberta (Dozier) Blount.

Patricia was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, and later attended NCCC, where she studied Liberal Arts. She worked for the 4-H Cooperative Extension Program in Niagara Falls, NY, focusing on nutrition and founded the Black Seekers Youth Group with the late Mrs. Robinson for 10 years.  An avid bowler, she was the first All American African American Bowler at NCCC.  She belonged to many leagues and participated and won many tournaments, with The Lilac Tournament being a memorable one. In 1986, she was employed as a Production Assistant at Stratorcor, and from 1988 to 1989 she worked in Maintenance with the New York State Parks Department.  From 1990 to 1994, she was a full-time caregiver to her parents, and then worked at the Niagara Gazette in Production from 1995 until 1999.  Patricia was a member of Mount Erie Baptist Church, where she was the youngest member to join. In addition to bowling in local leagues, she enjoyed shopping, playing games of chance, and spending time with her family.

Patricia is survived by her children, Johnnie William (Beverly) Rankin III, Alicia Rankin, David (Paulette) Rankin, and Pamela (Perry) Burnett; her grandchildren, Shantrece Jenkins, Shaun Jenkins, Angelique (Genieva) Harris Robertson, Dehnia Rankin, Tyra Rankin, Johnnie Rankin IV, Jordan Rankin and Jasmine Rankin; 2 great-grandchildren, Tristan Rankin and Vali Easley; her siblings, Bertha Blount and MaryAlice (Frank) Terry, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Diana Blount and Leoma Hunter.
