Patricia A. (Morock) Shira, 65, of Wheatfield, NY passed away on Thursday July 21, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Catherine (Mauro) Morock of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Joseph Morock.

Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. On February 13, 1965 she married John Shira at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls. She was employed as a beautician at Salon Donna Marie in Niagara Falls, NY until her retirement in April 2011. Patricia enjoyed baking and playing Bingo. She was also an avid NASCAR fan particularly of driver Jeff Gordon. But most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and was also willing to help others.

In addition to her husband of forty six years, and mother, Mrs. Shira is survived by three children, Nick Shira, Linda Shira and Patrick (Paula) Shira all of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandchildren, Deanna Shira, Joel Shira, Wolfie Shira and Jack Shira; one sister, Joanne Ellis of Niagara Falls, NY, and one brother Joseph (Jean) Morock of Niagara Falls, NY. She was the sister-in-law of, Linda and James Malinowski, Dennis and Mary Shira both of Youngstown, NY. Patricia is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday July 25th at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev.
