Patrick D. Gray, passed away September 1st 2022, so unexpectedly at the age of 72. The man, the myth, the legend. Affectionately known as P. Grizzle in the streets of Youngstown.

Patrick's life began April 15th, 1950 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late Thomas Vincent Gray and Emily Ruth (Reeves) Gray. Pat graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1968 and started his adventures from there. Finding his first job at Bobs Cycles, Pats love for motorcycles was born. Shortly after he joined the Niagara Falls Fire Department in 1973 until his retirement as Captain in 2007. He cherished his time spent there and the lifelong friends he made. He spent many years as a gun dealer, dabbled in real estate, and dominating the greens of Niagara Frontier Country Club. The man lived a colorful life, and if you knew Pat, you knew he had stories. You also heard them a dozen times each. He had a knack for turning a 5-minute story into a 25 minute one. He spoke very animatedly, with a wild and lovingly sense of humor. He refused to slow down, even after retirement. He spent his later years, researching everything and anything, and became the go to man for all of life's questions. Pat also became an ordained minister to marry off his family and friends.  He was always keeping busy and making memories. Whether it was a trip to Sturgis on his bike, riding with his band of firefighters or playing with and spoiling his grandchildren, he truly lived his life to the fullest.

The most important thing to Pat though was his family. He always made them his top priority and he was cherished by all. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Lynn Roberts Gray; his five proud children, Tammy (Randy) Gorzka, Patrick, Adrienne, Jeffrey and Ryan; his beloved grandchildren, Alison (Jake) Williams, Erin (Daniel) Sweeney, Kaitlyn Gorzka, Connor Barone, Nolan, Caroline, and Quinn Gray and Audrey Gray; his sisters, Maureen (David) King, Cynthia (Jack) Marcoaldi, and Donna (Rob) Morreale; he was a devoted Uncle, cousin and friend. Pats presence will be missed tremendously by all.

You may honor Patrick by attending visitation on Monday, September 5 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Private funeral services and interment will be held in North Ridge Cemetery. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pat's honor to the Niagara Falls Fire Fighters Toy Fund, or simply retell your favorite story of Pat Gray. Again and again. Don't sweat the small stuff.
