Paul M. Wos, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2024 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Iggy and Angeline (Kotas) Wos.
Paul was raised in Amherst, NY, and graduated from Sweet Home High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY and received his Master's degree in Music from the University of Kentucky.
Paul had a 29-year career at Niagara Falls High School dedicated to the teaching and mentoring students about music and its value.
He served as the Director of the Marching Band, the Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Band. He also taught AP Music Theory, guiding many students into music careers. He retired in 2012
Paul was a devout Catholic and longtime member of Holy Family Parish. He is survived by many beloved cousins and friends. Paul was a staple in the music community throughout Western New York and will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by so many who benefited from his teaching and friendship.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 26, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM at Antonio's Banquet Hall, 7708 Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Private funeral services with interment in Elm Lawn Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
