Patron of the Less Fortunate

Paula Jo Centofanti, 56, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday July 26, 2009 at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Dante and Catherine (Grana) Centofanti.

Paula Jo was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1971. In 1976 she graduated from Niagara University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. For thirty three years, Paula Jo was employed as a Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric Unit of N.F. Memorial Medical Center. She was a proud supporter of various charities especially St. Jude. She enjoyed tending to her house and gardening but most of all, Paula Jo's greatest pleasure was helping underprivileged people.

In addition to her parents, Paula Jo was predeceased by one sister Josephine Centofanti. She is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and her extended family at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

Friends may call on Friday from 2 – 5 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday August 1st at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Michael Burzynski, PhD. officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
