Paula L. Fasso, 53, passed away Wednesday December 1, 2010 after a courageous fourteen year health battle, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Judith E. (Winter) Wisner.

Paula was a 1975 graduate of the Trott Vocational High School Nursing program and attended Niagara County Community College. On September 3, 1977 she married Michael P. Fasso in Niagara Falls, NY. She worked as an LPN at Niagara Geriatrics Center in Niagara Falls, NY and later as a nurse and cafeteria worker for the Niagara Wheatfield School District. Paula was blest to be the recipient of two organ transplants, and had volunteered for Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS). She was also a member of the Trio Support Group. In her leisure she enjoyed gardening, home decorating, crocheting, and spending time with her dog, Kayla. Most importantly, Paula was a devoted mother and loved to spend time with her daughters.

In addition to her husband of thirty-three years, she is survived by her two daughters Jennifer (Bryan) Nowak of Amherst, NY and Julianne Fasso of San Diego, CA; a sister Joni (Paul) Grozio of Niagara Falls, NY and a brother Phil (Robin) Wisner of Fredericksburg, VA. Paula was the beloved daughter-in-law of Phyllis Marra and niece of Loretta Abbo. She was the sister-in-law of Mark (Kathy) Fasso of Lewiston, NY, Janet (Joe) Bradigan of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Frank Fasso. Paula is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 4th from 1 – 4 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where a funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 PM with Rev. Laura Norris-Buisch, officiating.
