Obituary

Pauline S. (Soprano) Dimino, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday January 31, 2010 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cecelia (Fratello) Soprano.

Pauline was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 25, 1955 she married Joseph F. Dimino at Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Dimino predeceased her on August 12, 2002. She was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education in the cafeteria department in food services and retired in the late 1990's after twenty seven years of service. Pauline and her husband were active supporters of St. Jude Shrine in Lewiston, NY and she also enjoyed seeing her friends at the DeGraff Senior Center in North Tonawanda. She was well versed and had a wide variety of skills including craft making, sewing and crocheting. Pauline's life was centered on her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren and her motherly instincts never wavered. She especially liked baking and decorating cakes and cookies on special occasions for her family and friends.

Pauline is survived by three children Frank Dimino; Joseph (Margy) Dimino, NFFD both of Niagara Falls, NY and Laurie (James) Lambert of Wheatfield, NY and was Nani to her five grandchildren Breanna Dimino, Jolene Lambert, Frank J. Dimino, Felicia Dimino and PaulaJo Dimino. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters Mary (late Leonard) Deuro, Carmine (late Joseph) Macri and Louise (Pascal "Pat" of Niagara Falls, NY) Grenga.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Thursday February 4th at 10 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
