Obituary

Peter A. DiNoto, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Pekin, NY, he was the son of the late Augustino and Giovanina (Nalbone) DiNoto.

Peter attended area schools and later the University of Chicago where he earned his degree in Aeronautical Engineering. On June 12, 1941 he married Janet V. (Porfilio) DiNoto in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. DiNoto predeceased him on December 6, 1985. During World War II Peter was employed by Curtiss-Wright Company as an aircraft engineer and worked on the P-51 Mustang Project. He later owned and operated the Frontier Camera Shop on Falls Street in Niagara Falls, NY for thirty years as well as teaching adult education classes in math and photography. Peter was also a gifted multi-linguist, being fluent in five languages, and served as a consultant for the U.S. Government. During the 1970's he became the office manager for Girasole Real Estate in Niagara Falls until his retirement. He was a founding member of the Embassy Club in Niagara Falls. Peter also enjoyed fishing and especially loved taking care of his home aquariums.

Mr. DiNoto is survived by his two children, Marsha (James) Bruno of Grand Island, NY and Darryl (Linda) DiNoto of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by four sisters and four brothers.

There will be no prior visitation. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304.
