Philip Roeser, 72, of Wheatfield, NY, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Northgate Manor in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Philip A. and Helen (Hoerner) Roeser. Phil was predeceased by his wife Shirley J. Roeser in 1997.

Philip attended school in Wilson, NY and later earned an Associate's Degree at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY.   He worked for numerous area companies as a hazardous materials cleaner and in 2006 he retired from Tonawanda Tank Transport in Kenmore, NY. Phil was a member and served as the tail twister of the Newfane Lions Club and member of the Niagara Falls Bowling Association  One of his favorite pastimes was racing sail boats in Lake Ontario. He also had a passion for bowling and golfing and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.   Phil loved spending time with his dog, Fred.

He is survived by two children David (Carrie) Roeser and Kristen (Robert Samborek) Roeser both of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by his son Timothy Roeser. He is also survived by three grandchildren Erick, Abigail and Julianna Roeser; five brothers and one sister Herbert (Christine) Roeser, Charles (MaryEtta) Roeser both of Lockport, NY; Carolyn (late Michael) Higgins of Newfane, NY; Norman (Margaret) Roeser of Cape Coral, FL; William (Tammy) Roeser and Kenneth (Gina) Roeser both of Lockport, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother James Roeser.

There will be no prior visitation.
