Co-Owner of Pete's Service Station

Philip F. Tagliarini 82, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday March 28, 2010 in Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Pietro "Peter" and Sestilia (Ianiro) Tagliarini.

Phil was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On February 9, 1952, he married Delores A. (Kania) Tagliarini in the former Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls. For all of his life, Phil owned and operated along with his brothers, Pete's Service Station located on Pine Ave. and 30th Street in Niagara Falls. He was an avid photographer and was a member and former president of the Cataract Camera Club. He was also a member of the Pine Avenue Business Association.

In addition to his wife of fifty eight years, Mr. Tagliarini is survived by his four children, Thomas C. (Teresa) Tagliarini of Alameda, CA, Peter F. (Susan) Tagiarini of Lewiston, NY, Randy P. Tagliarini of Niagara Falls, NY and Maria M. Genero Tagliarini of Buffalo, NY, four grandchildren, Julia H. Tagliarini, Taylor Tagliarini and Alexa Tagliarini, Nicholas Tagliarini, one sister Margaret (late Tony) Nastasi of Niagara Falls, NY, one brother Peter (Bonnie Stewart) Tagliarini of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother Americo 'Buck' (late Mary) Tagliarini.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Thursday April 1st at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Raphael's Church, College and Macklem Avenues Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. If desired memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara County SPCA.
