Phillip Duncan, 62, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at his residence. Born in Knoxville, TN he was the son of the late Howard and Bertha Mae (Shelby) Duncan; and the beloved husband of Debra (D'Addario) Duncan, who he married in 1991.

Phillip was raised in Oak Ridge, TN and moved with his family to Virginia as a teenager. Following his graduation for high school, Phillip proudly served in the United States Navy. He returned to Oak Ridge after his honorable discharge and began working at Advanced Refractory prior to relocating to Western New York in the 1980s. Most recently he was employed by Matrix Imaging Solutions in Sanborn.

Phillip had a love for flying and obtained his pilot's license at a young age. He was also a flight instructor for many years. Above all, Phillip cherished the time spent with his family.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, Phillip is survived by his son, Tyler (Alex) Duncan; four siblings, Trixie (Thomas) Heeter, Nancy (Nathan) Hammond, David (late Joey) Duncan and Lynn (late Jim) Parrish, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Anne (Terry) Arnold.
