Phyllis (DeCesare) Fasciano, 80 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy she was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Rosina (Sprocchi) DeCesare. Phyllis was raised and educated in Italy. She married her beloved husband Nelson Fasciano in Italy on December 10, 1953 after Nelson traveled to Italy in search of her after seeing a portrait of her displayed in her uncle's business, Frank and Nick's Dry Cleaners in Niagara Falls, NY. Shortly after their marriage, Phyllis immigrated to Niagara Falls to join her husband.
Phyllis was a trained seamstress in Italy and went on to become a proud and successful entrepreneur in Niagara Falls. She along with her family owned and operated Niagara Dry Cleaners and Tuxedo, as well as Mr. Tux and Classy Tuxedo. Phyllis was a devout Catholic and especially proud that she had received Holy Communion from Padre Pio. She was a longtime active member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph's Church as well as their Padre Pio prayer group. She also supported and regularly attended Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Lewiston. Phyllis was a member of the Ladies Cristoforo Colombo Society, and Pine Avenue Business Association. Above all, Phyllis devoted her life to her family through her love and support, and always putting the needs of her husband and children ahead of hers.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Phyllis is survived by her three sons, James (Louisa) Fasciano, Nelson (Margaret) Fasciano, Jr. both of Niagara Falls, NY and Anthony Fasciano of Lewiston, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, sister Antoinette Romano of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday July 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Holy Family Parish 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY.
