Phyllis Manaresi, age 90, of Niagara Falls passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 20, 1929 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Carmen (Chiampi) Quarantello.
Phyllis attended local schools and graduated from college with her RN. She worked for many years at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital and then worked for Dr. Pellicano's office in Niagara Falls where she retired. Following her retirement, she was a substitute nurse for local schools and also the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club. She enjoyed watching old cowboy movies and spending winter months with her son in North Carolina.
Phyllis is survived by her son, George (Yvette) Manaresi; a granddaughter, Heather Paschal; brothers, Joseph (Lorna) Quarantillo and Bill (late Helen) Quarantello. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Gus (late Jean) Quarantello and a sister, Ann (late Joseph) Lotterio.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 4 th from 4 – 8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS. Phyllis's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls. Everyone please assemble at church.
